From the pastor’s desk:

Our Annual Family Festival is Saturday, October 17

from 11AM to 8PM in the School and Church Hall. We are distributing

the raffle tickets and information before and after all the masses this weekend. The raffle is the largest fundraising part of the event. Please

pick up the letter and tickets today, extra tickets are also available at the table in the parking lot vestibule.

Please plan to attend the event, and work at a booth, and donate craft, baked goods or white elephant items. The event is a

community builder and a fundraiser.

Please continue to pray for Our Holy Father, Pope Francis as he prepares for his visit to the United States.

Follow all his events live on EWTN.

Members of our Parish Family who are admitted to the hospital are encouraged to designate Blessed Sacrament as their home

parish. If you are not listed as a parishioner here we cannot visit you as the hospital is legally bound not to release this information to us

unless you identified yourself as a member of our parish.

If a family member is homebound and would like to receive Communion, please call the rectory. If a family member is in a

nursing home, please call the rectory, we will add them to our lists for visits and notes and cards from the school children and societies.

Please help us keep in touch with our sick and homebound.

THE PARISH COUNCIL (Pastoral Council) will meet on Monday, September 28

at 7 PM in the Forman Room.

GIANTS TICKETS: We have been given again 4 tickets for a N.Y. Giants football game as a fundraiser for the School. The game is a

home game on Sunday, November 15

, Giants vs. Patriots, kickoff at 4:25 PM with parking in the blue lots, a value of over $600.

Winning ticket will be drawn on November 2, 2015.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in the Sacristy, at the Rectory or School. Share the cost of a ticket with a friend. Please

help us promote ticket sales. The seats are Section 103 row 14 seats 1-4.

COLLECTION NEWS: Regular collection $9,617. If you are away, please remember your parish with your envelope gift upon your

return. We appreciate and need your ongoing support. The second collection this Sunday is the first of three to help us with our annual fuel

expenses. Please consider a special gift. The second collection next Sunday is the monthly for the Parish School.

BLESSED SACRAMENT BASKETBALL CHARITY GOLF OUTING TO SUPPORT OUR PARISH SCHOOL SPORTS

PROGRAM is: Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Town of Colonie Golf Course. Four man scramble format. Registration will be

from 10:30 – 11:30 AM with tee times beginning at 11:30 AM. Price is $110 per person and this includes greens fees, golf cart, and a hot

buffet dinner at the Orchard Tavern. Payment is due by September 13, 2015. Prizes awarded for first and second place winners and there

will be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. For more information, please contact Jim Crisafulli at 458-9464 or 376-7872. If you would like to

sponsor a flag for $125, we will put your company or name on it for the tournament. Thank you for your support.
