Kindergarten Reading Log

The homework for kindergarten students is to read to or with someone for 20 minutes each day. Then the

student writes book title as best they can and prints T if someone read the book TO themn, W if they read

the book WITH someone, or I if they read INDEPENDENTLY. Then the adult monitoring at home writes the

date and initials to show who read with the kindergarten student. The reading log is to be returned each

Friday. There is room on the back for recording additional books read. The student’s homework grade each

trimester will be based on how many reading logs are completed and returned. Additional reading logs are

available in the classroom or at the school’s web site ( ).
