PAPER BAG

BOOK REPORT

Materials needed:

 Large white or brown grocery-size paper bag (not lunch size)

 Colored pencils

 Five specific items that relate to your novel and fit in the bag

Directions:

1. The outside of the bag should include the following:

 book title, book author, and your name on the front

 a description of at least three story problems on the front of the bag

 a description of at least three solutions (or conclusion) on the back of

the bag

 colored illustrations of your favorite parts of the story on both sides of

the bag.

2. The inside of the bag should include the following:

 five items that represent significant events or characters from the story.

For example, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” may call for an apple,

a small mirror, a dwarf figurine, a toy bird, and a cut out picture of a

house in the woods. These items will be returned after we share our

reports with the class.
