Grade Reading Log

Reading daily for at least 20 minutes is part of your child’s homework in 1

grade. Record each book title on a line

below and turn in this reading log when it is complete. If your child is reading a chapter book, 1 chapter counts as 1

book read. Your child’s reading goal by the end of 1

grade is to read and record 300 books/30 reading logs (or

100 books/10 reading logs each trimester). When your child turns in reading logs in increments of 5 reading

logs/50 books, she/he will receive a book charm.

Note: Please encourage your child to fill in her/his own reading log in order to practice responsibility and appropriate

grade handwriting!
