Counties, tax collectors, and the state office continue moving forward with
BUREAU OF VITAL STATISTICS, QUALITY ASSURANCE UNIT
implementation of birth certification issuance in the tax collector offices. We have
P.O. BOx 210
completed the pilot phase and are beginning to roll out to those counties who have
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA 32231-0042
contacted us with an interest in participating in the program. Hillsborough,
Pasco, and Palm Beach counties will be coming online in the next month
or so. We will also be contacting counties in the Northeast Florida
area that have expressed an interest; we are always interested in the
practical side and it is expedient to approach them in this next phase,
much like we did with our system roll outs.
If the county is approached by their tax collector about the project,
please refer them to the state office. They should contact Ken Jones,
Sharon Dover, or Ana Goold.
