The young man who is requesting a reference from you is preparing to meet

with a group of adults from Scouting and the community who comprise an

Eagle Scout Character Board of Review.

The purpose of this Board of Review is to determine the character of the

Eagle Scout Candidate beyond the requirements of merit badges and tenure

in scouting. We look to you and others who are involved in his life to answer

these questions.

1. Does he do his best to live up to the Scout Oath and Law?

2. Does he demonstrate leadership ability in helping his Scout unit, school,

church, community?

3. Does he show respect for the thoughts, feelings, and property of others?

Would you please state on the attached sheet whether or not you feel that

this candidate has lived up to the high ideas of leadership and citizenship

required of him.
