2015 POP PETITION INSTRUCTIONS

THE CHECKLIST:

1. Fill out your printed information at the top and sign the petition

2. Get your friends (who are Texas voters) to HELP YOU complete the page

3. Notarize each page (DON’T ﬁll out the bottom until instructed by notary)

4. Mail the notarized forms to TNM ASAP!

5. Go to to let us know you mailed the petition

• All signers must be Texas Registered voters

• Signers must be present to sign and only the signature must be in each person’s own handwriting

• All information must be ﬁlled out (except for Voter Registration #)

• YOU MUST READ the statement at the top to each signer before they afﬁx their signature

• Although the statement is often confusing, please note that by signing this petition a person can

still vote in the Republican Primary AND for ANYONE in the general election

• Only one person can collect signatures on each page and that person must get it notarized

• You may submit more than one page

• Only use black or blue ink

• Make sure you can read the information (it is legible), we must use this to verify voter registration

• Remember, signing the form is not supporting independence and a signer may still vote against it

• Each page must be notarized

• Do not sign or ﬁll out the bottom until instructed by the notary.

• You will be required to read the afﬁdavit (oath) at the bottom to the notary
