The Leschi PTA is launching its 6
Annual Giving Campaign.
This year our goal is to achieve 100% participation and raise $45,000.
We are thrilled to report that the 2014 Giving Campaign raised a little more than $47,000!
Thank you to everyone who gave to the 2014-15 Annual Give and to those who donated to the
one-time-only ask for the Best of Both fundraiser during the summer of 2015.
Your donation matters!
We urge every family to make a donation of any amount. By doing so, you help strengthen our school community and enrich every
child’s school experience. Every dollar given goes directly to programs that support the 380 students, teachers and staff at Leschi
Elementary.
Your financial contributions support the following and much more:
o Arts Integration – A.I. curriculum & materials for every classroom, visiting artists, school theatrical performance
o Improved recess activities with more adult involvement to promote student engagement & problem solving
o Tutors in every K/1
st
grade classrooms- reduces student - teacher ratio during morning work time
o Writers In The Schools (WITS), published authors work with students on personal expression through writing
o School-wide snack program – providing healthy, fresh & whole food snacks to every student, every day!
o Teacher professional development & reimbursement for classroom supplies purchased with their own money
o Art supplies & resources; Library & Technology maintenance; Literacy Supplies for all classrooms – SPS district budget only
covers basic art & literacy supplies and there is no budget for library books and tech software
o P.E. equipment – Installation of a new climbing wall this year! Plus balls, helmets, curriculum & more
o Scholarships – fieldtrips, 5
th
grade camp, enrichment programs and more
Without money generously donated by YOU, many of the activities and programs in our school would not exist.
No set amount is expected, more importantly, we hope that every family will find a way to make an investment in our students with
the largest contribution that works for their family budget; be it $5, $500 or $5,000.
