Financial Aid Process

Summer 2016

Application…

Please submit this 2016 Summer Application for Financial Aid to the Financial Aid

Office (GC 3 ½ West) before April 4, 2016 so that you may meet summer

registration deadlines. You may also submit via fax (918-495-6803) or scan the

application and email to ORUFinaid@oru.edu. Late applications will be accepted,

but processing may be delayed. Apply early for a worry-free summer registration

process!

NOTE: You must already be enrolled in the exact credits per session that you list

on this form or you will not be able to be packaged for summer.

Housing…

You may have the opportunity to receive free or discounted summer dormitory

housing by attending multiple sessions or working on campus this summer. Earned

discounts are not part of the initial financial aid award and are posted to accounts in

late July or early August. The summer housing rate is approximately $20 per day

for Summer 2016; the cafeteria is not available

Award Letter…

You must have a 2015-2016 FAFSA on file to receive federal aid in the summer,

which consists of Direct Loans. You will receive a financial aid award email

notification for summer after your enrollment matches your summer aid

application. In some instances, additional loan applications will be required.

Students utilizing athletic, employee, Oklahoma’s Promise or other benefit aid

should submit this application as confirmation that they will be attending summer

classes.

Accept your federal awards online and complete summer registration for each

summer session by logging in to Vision no later than May 1, 2016. If you choose

to revise your schedule in any way, you will need to complete a Financial Aid

Revision form, available in the Student Service Group.

● April 4, 2016 – 2016 ORU Summer Financial Aid Application

● April 3, 2016 – 2015-16 FAFSA Results Received in Financial Aid

● May 1, 2016 – Completed financial aid file using VISION
