Course Description: The CME Project is organized around Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2, and pre-calculus
concepts. This course gives teachers the option of a problem-based, student-centered program, organized around them
mathematical themes with which teachers and parents are familiar. This course provides students the time and focus
they need to develop fundamental mathematical ways of thinking its primary goal is to develop in student robust
mathematical proficiency.
Prerequisites: Integrated Math II is for students that have passed Integrated math I (or Algebra I) in the past. It will
prepare students for Integrated Math III that will be implemented this school year and will replace Intermediate-
Algebra.
Textbook(s): Integrated CME Project: Mathematics II
Supplies/Materials Needed: Textbook (provided by library), binder with line paper and graph paper (provided by
student), pencils/pen (provided by student), and 200 3X5 index cards (provided by student).
Student Fees:
The Constitution of the State of California requires that we provide a public education to you free of charge. Your right
to a free education is for all school/educational activities, whether curricular or extracurricular, and whether you get a
grade for the activity or class. Subject to certain exceptions, your right to a free public education means that we cannot
require you or your family to purchase materials, supplies, equipment or uniforms for any school activity, nor can we
require you or your family to pay security deposits for access, participation, materials, or equipment.
Under certain circumstances, students involved in extracurricular programs, clubs and/or sports may be required to
attend fundraising events held by the program, sport or club just as you may be required to attend any other event put
on by that program, club or sport. However, you will not be required to raise funds as a condition of participation.

Academic Honesty Policy:
All students are expected to abide by the Mira Mesa High School Academic Honesty Policy which is clearly outlined in
the Student & Parent Handbook as well as posted online with school registration forms for students and parents to
review.
Class Rules and Consequences:
To make this year a productive one, and help your success, the following rules and expectations will be enforced in this
classroom:
*Always be respectful. Respect yourself, respect your fellow students, Respect the school property and Respect the
teacher
*Blame no one. Everyone has problems, but you control how you act.
*Come Prepared. Come to class prepared every day in every way (notebook, pencil, a positive attitude, and desire to
learn)
*Do Your Best. Have fun, take control of life, be a winner.
*No Electronics. Do not use IPods, Cd players, cell phones or any other electronic item during class
*No Eating/Drinking during class. No eating during class is allowed in the class. You are expected to eat at your own
time not during class.
*Proper clothing should be wearing in the proper mater all the time.
