F-1 Documentation
To be compiled by incoming student & submitted to OIA
Admission Letter
F-1 Student OIA Biodata Form
F-1 OIA Financial Resources Form Resident or Non-Resident
Copy of passport (bio, validity and visa pages)
Verification of financial solvency for the amount of the total estimated yearly tuition, fees, and
expenses for the school you will be attending. Add an additional $1,000 per family
dependent (when applicable) to the total estimated yearly expenses.
Supporting documents in English or accompanied by a certified English translation must be
submitted (bank statement, financial award letter, etc.)
If requesting F-2 status for accompanying family DEPENDENTS
Copy of passport
Copy of documents reflecting visa history such as I-94, I-20, visa stamp, etc. *ONLY if visitor
is already in the U.S.
Copy of marriage certificate and translation, for spouse
Copy of birth certificate and translation, for each child
TRANSFER-IN requests for students who are in the U.S. in F-1 visa status must also include
Copies of all previously issued immigration documents reflecting visa history such as I-20, DS-
2019, IAP-66, etc.)
Completed and signed OIA Transfer-in Form
Copy of Form I-94
Copy of visa stamp
Copy of Employment Authorization Document (EAD), if applicable
Copy of most recent transcript
