God  first  showed  Abraham  what  his  future  could  be  like.  He  then  asked  Abraham  to  take  action  to  
possess  the  future.  He  also  told  Habakkuk  to  clearly  write  the  vision.  Similarly,  we  can  envisage  our  
future  and  write  down  the  steps  we  want  to  take  to  get  there.  What  kind  of  future  do  you  see  for  
yourself?  
 
This  planning  guide  is  designed  to  help  you  plan  the  next  20  years  of  your  life.  You  can  amend  it  or  
use   i t   a s   i t   i s.   Y ou   c an   a lso   g o   o nline   o r   r esearch   i nto   o ther   a vailable   f ormats.  
 
Whatever   h appens,   t ake   u p   t he   c hallenge   o f   p lanning   y our   f uture.  
 
Start   w ith   y our   2 0-­‐year   g oals   a nd   w ork   y our   w ay   b ackwards.   Y ou   c an   c arve   o ut   a   1 5-­‐year   p lan,   a   1 0-­‐
year   p lan,   a   5 -­‐year   p lan   a nd   f inally   a   o ne-­‐year   p lan   t o   g et   y ou   s tarted.  
 
No  plan  is  perfect.  You  cannot  control  all  the  variables  of  your  life.  However,  your  plan  can  be  like  
the  navigating  instruments  of  a  pilot.  When  the  weather  changes  or  turbulence  sets  in,  it  will  help  
you   k eep   y our   e yes   o n   y our   i ntended   d estination   a nd   f ind   y our   w ay.  
 
Whether   you   plan   for   the   future   or   not,   the   future   will   become   your   reality   in   time.   Take   time   to  
carefully   p lan   a head.
