Youth Baseball Organization Chart

This document is designed to help people understand where you should be signing your child up when

the season comes around. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask a Board member, or email

one of them for clarification.

*For the T-ball (K) and house leagues (grades 1-6), we will use your child’s CURRENT school year to place

them in their respective age group, which are as follows:

Tball – Kindergarten

Rookie League – 1

and 2

grades

Minor League – 3

and 4

grades

HOUSE LEAGUE TEAMS

Major League – 5

and 6

grades

House league teams will practice each Monday and have games on Thursdays.

*Travelling teams are as follows, and their age as of May 1

(official Cal Ripken rule) will determine

which team they will be able to play with:

*9 year olds – there will be a travelling 9 yr old team, which consist of approx. 1 practice per week, as

well as a travelling team schedule.

*10 yr olds - there will be a travelling 10 yr old team, which consist of approx. 1 practice per week, as

well as a travelling team schedule.

The players on the 9 and 10 yr old travel teams must also participate in the House League Program.

*11 and 12 yr olds – Once your child is this age, they have the option to play on a Major League House

Team/or play for a travelling Cal Ripken team. They can do one or the other, or even do both if they

choose. Unlike the lower travel teams, they are not required to play in the house league program in

order to play on a travel team. The travelling Cal Ripken teams at this age level practice daily at approx..

2pm, and will play a travelling schedule of approximately 25 games.

*13-18 yr olds – These players will play in the Babe Ruth and Legion divisions of the youth baseball

program.

As we all know, numbers can change on a yearly basis. For this reason, travelling teams from the 9-18

year old levels may change depending on those numbers. Once we have all players registered, we will

determine what is best for the program for that year.
