IHS PACKING CHECKLIST – October Team
This packing checklist has evolved over many years. The strongest message we can
give you is to PACK LIGHT. Your carry-on bag should include EVERYTHING you will
want in La Ceiba on Thursday & Friday. Personal luggage sometimes take a day or
two to catch up with you in La Ceiba. This list was created for the February teams who
spend 2 weeks in Honduras. Please discuss what items you will need with your team
leader.
MEDICATIONS
MISCELLANEOUS (nice to have)

_____ immodium or lomotil (anti-diarrhea drugs)
_____ film (expensive to buy in Honduras)
_____ prophylactic antibiotics as desired
_____ extra batteries (expensive to buy in Honduras)
_____ insect repellent with deet
_____ army knife with small scissors (is nice)
_____ Cloroquine (malaria medication)
_____ notebook / journal - pens, pencils, paper

_____ personal reading (bring reading light & batteries)

_____ ear plugs for aircraft, dogs, roosters, & snoring
