The present is used to describe what actions are taking
place right now, or in general...including right now
English vs French
In English we use three different present tenses but in French
There is only one present tense used:
I sing
I am singing
= je chante
I do sing
*Remember this when asking questions because .....Do you
Sing? is simply Chantes-tu?

er (like chanter) ir (like finir)
re (like descendre)
Par exemple:

je finis
je descends
Tu chantes
