The Konrad–Adenauer–Stiftung e.V. (KAS) supports gifted and suitable young people who are
extraordinarily committed to the socio-political realm. The personal reference letter plays a
vital role in selecting candidates for our programme. We would therefore ask you to set high
standards for your evaluation.
We are particularly interested in the following questions:
1. For how long have you known the applicant?
2. How do you assess the applicant´s behaviour towards others (perhaps also
within a group)?
3. Do you know if and to which extent the applicant has seized responsibility
within the socio-political realm?
4. Which are the applicant´s outstanding traits that you have noticed? (e.g. creativity,
independence, determination, extraordinary talents etc.)
5. Based on your overall impression of the applicant: Do you recommend the
applicant for our programme?
Important
In order to apply for an admission effective from the summer term, the personal reference
letter has to be submitted by January, 31, of each year, for an admission effective from the
winter term by July, 31, of each year; the personal reference letter should not be dated back
more than 3 months.
Please do not write on this form´s back sides. If possible, please draft your letter
electronically and print it or fill in this form in block letters and black ink. Should this
form not be sufficient for your letter you may add one or more additional sheets of paper.
