Recommendation Letter

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am glad to write the letter of recommendation for my student Ms. HONG Xiao, and

I hope I could provide useful information towards the assessment of her application.

Xiao and I had got along with each other for more than two years at Jiangsu

Polytechnic of Finance & Economics. I was her social practice classes professor. The

first time she left me with a deep impression was her outstanding performance during

the ‘Charming Host’ show. She had excellent speech skills and on-stage performance

capabilities. When teachers gave her advice, she was also willing to accept. Apart

from this, she could cooperate nicely with other partner hosts as well. In the following,

I also saw she was hosting Freshman Welcome Party and Etiquette Competition. Each

time, I would notice she made obvious progress and became more confident to handle

well in those large occasions.

She is also active to organize activities. Once she organized a debate with a topic

‘Which is more important, skills or knowledge’. She could motivate other students to

participate in. Before the debate, she prepared well in terms of posters, projection,

background and players board. The flow of the debate ran successfully and students

enjoyed it very much under her organization and leadership. In addition,

self-management union would voluntarily organize an activity. Xiao came up with an

idea ‘Youth Singing contest’ with five ingenuity sections. Her idea was very

innovative in accordance with the existing conditions; hence it got approval by the

department and teachers. She clearly wrote out her plan and made nice PPT slides.

The event ran smoothly and achieved great applause among teachers and students.

Thus her idea was used again for next year’s activity. She has put great efforts into

those activities which could enrich students’ college life a lot and at the same time her

leadership, organizational capability and teamwork have made great progress too.

She had reached joyful achievements for both knowledge and abilities through

hardworking and persistence. At school everyone is willing to make friends with her,

since she is really kind and helpful. On one hand, she could manage her own time

very well and thus she would have the time to help others along with her solid

background and excellent studying ability; on the other hand, it shows that she is very

energetic and friendly. Her character of being optimistic and sanguine is a driving

force for her progress.

Normally speaking, she is easy-going. She will have a bright future. I write this letter

of recommendation with joy, and I am proud of being a teacher of such an excellent

student. I believe that you will be proud of her in the near future.
