Dear [Salutation]:
Every year, the
Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI)
hosts the
SSPI
Gala,
a Black Tie Champagne Reception and Dinner in conjunction with the
SATELLITE
Conference and
Exhibition. The Gala is our industry’s preeminent social and
networking event of the year with nearly 1,200 high-ranking figures from the global world
of satellite communications including manufacturers, operators, system and network
services suppliers and solutions providers. With the global satellite community uniting at
the SATELLITE Conference, top-level executives and management know the annual
SSPI Gala is a not to be missed event.
It is our pleasure to invite you [insert “and guest” if preferred] to join [insert company
name &/or chief executive] and our team at GALA 2010. Details of the event are as
follows:
GALA 2010 -
Tuesday, March 16
Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center
201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, MD 20745
7:00 PM until 11:00 PM.
As you may know, SATELLITE 2010, sponsored by leading industry publication Via
Satellite and Access Intelligence, is moving to the new
Gaylord National Resort &
Convention Center
at
National
Harbor, along with Gala 2010. SSPI has made several
visits to the Gaylord and believes it will be an excellent venue for both events. The
property is conveniently located just minutes outside of Washington, D.C. and easily
accessible from the surrounding D.C. Metropolitan area. SATELLITE 2010 will be
providing regular shuttle service between the Gaylord and downtown hotels throughout
the conference week.
As a 501(c) 3 non-profit trade association sponsoring a widely attended event of
members, non-members and their guests, SSPI's Gala is a suitable event for
attendance under the ethics rules of the U.S. Government.
A note on Gala attire: Black Tie has long been the recommended attire for the Gala. To
better reflect changing tastes, Gala 2010 will be SSPI’s first “Black Tie Optional” Gala.
