The cost calculator below is adapted from Consumer Reports Complete Guide
to Health Services for Seniors. The purpose of this worksheet is to help
families identify expenses and have a way to compare costs between
communities they are considering. For each community:
Make a copy of the cost calculator
Estimate costs for the first year
Project the cost for a minimum of 5 years
Cost projections should take into consideration the possibility of increasing
needs that may raise fees as well as increased costs for rent and services.
