1SEABECK BEHAVIOR CONTRACT
EXPECTATIONS
1.
ALL SCHOOL RULES APPLY: Follow all directions from teachers, counselors, and parents. Act
responsibly and respectfully.
2.
ON BUS:
A. Choose a seat and remain there.
B. Remain seated while bus is in motion.
C. Inside voices will be used on the bus.
D. No eating, gum chewing, or drinking.
3.
ON FERRY
A. Stay off the car deck and out of cafeteria areas.
B. Appropriate behavior is expected while on the ferry. (No running or throwing objects
overboard.) Stay in the seating area.
C. There will be no purchase of anything from the machines or the snack bar.
4.
IN CLASSES
A. Give your undivided attention to the instructor.
B. Keep on the established trails.
C. Do not pick or pull out any living plant or animal.
D. Leave the beach and park better than you found it. If you turn over a rock to look at
marine life, return it to its original position.
E. Do not attempt to keep any living organism.
F. Stay away from camp staff’s homes.
G. Stay in prescribed areas at all times.
H. Stay with your group during class time. If you need to leave your group at any time,
be sure to get permission from your instructor or counselor first.
5.
MEAL PREPARATION AND CONSUMPTION:
A. Your hands and face must be washed before you help prepare or eat a meal.
B. Good table manners are expected.
C. It is important that you arrive to your Johnny-jump-ups on time. Be prompt and stay
until you are sure it has been accomplished satisfactorily.
6.
IN CABINS
A. Straighten your bed and stow your possessions neatly.
B. After “lights out,” no one will leave his/her cabin for any reason unless
accompained by an adult.
CONSEQUENCES
Good Choices:
1. Great Seabeck trip and experience.
2. Fun for all!
Poor choices and refusal to follow the expectations will result in:
1. A warning and conference with teacher.
2. Sent home.
* Students who jeopardize the safety or well being of themselves or others, as determined by the
teacher or administrator, will skip “step 1” and be sent home immediately.
