Starting Costs Budget: Determine how much money you’ll need to start your business. Create a costs
analysis sheet including items you already own/equity. Don’t forget: location costs (rent or
mortgage), upkeep, inventory, employees (see your answers on employment), equipment, utility bills
(electric, gas, heat, water), insurance, taxes, “rainy day” funds, and more. Include everything you
think you’ll want, and then asterisk (*) everything you can identify as a need.
After that budget is complete, determine: will you need a start up loan?
