Lease Agreement

This is an agreement between Cornerstone Farm, lessee of horse/pony, mare/gelding known as

_____ and______________, lessor of horse/pony. The following conditions represent the terms

of the lease.

1. The lease will begin __________. During the lease, the horse will be stabled at Triple

Creek Ranch, 4255 Nelson Road in Longmont, Colorado. The horse will not be moved

to other permanent stabling at any time during the lease.

2. The term of this lease is a three month minimum and will require 15 days notice by either

party to terminate, unless an earlier date is mutually agreed.

3. During the lease, the lessor will be responsible for the horse’s basic comfort, care,

expenses and health except as otherwise defined by this agreement. Should any accident,

sickness or injury befall the horse while under the lessor’s care, it will be the

responsibility of the lessor to provide care and to pay for any medical attention necessary,

not to exceed $1,500.00 per incident. Additionally, the lessor will have no liability of

pre-existing conditions that prove to be the cause of any illness or death. The lessor will

also be responsible for their portion of routine vet care such as seasonal shots and

worming and any performance vet care such as supplements, injections, chiropractic, etc.

4. During the lease, the lessor will be able to use lessee’s equipment for the horse if it is not

in use on another lesson horse. Lessor will be responsible for cleaning and care of

equipment after each use and any and all repairs on the equipment if the equipment is

damaged by the lessor.

5. The horse will be used for pleasure riding and lessons in a carefully controlled

environment. The horse may be ridden at the walk out on the cross country course but on

no other trail rides unless Jen Shannon is present. The horse will be ridden by the lessor

______ days per month, ______ of those days being lessons. If the lessor missed a lease

day, there may only be a make-up day if scheduling allows. No reimbursement will be

made for missed lease days.

6. Lessor agrees to pay $_________ per month by the first day of each month the horse is

leased. Payment made after the 5

day of the month will be subject to a daily fee as per

Cornerstone Farm’s boarding agreement with Triple Creek Ranch.
