This matter comes before the Court for a hearing pursuant to S.C. Code
Ann. §17-24-40(C)(1) to determine whether Defendant should continue to be hospitalized
pursuant to the standards set forth in S.C. Code Ann. §44-17-580. Based on the evidence
presented, the Court makes the following findings of fact:

At that time, because of the verdict Defendant was committed by Order of
this Court to the facilities of the South Carolina Department of Mental
Health (hereafter, SCDMH) for a period not to exceed one hundred and
twenty (120) days pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. §17-24-40(A), for an
examination to determine Defendant’s need for hospitalization and
treatment pursuant to the standard set forth in S.C. Code Ann. §44-17-580.

According to the completed evaluation and evidence presented at the
hearing, Defendant is mentally ill, needs treatment, and because of the
mental condition:
