JUNIOR CAMP COUNSELOR

FunGame Sports LLC is looking for enthusiastic and talented Junior Camp Counselors to join our team for the
2016 Summer!
The camp hours are from 9a – 4p with extended care being available beginning at 7:30a and until 6p. The Junior
Counselor will work an 8-hour shift, which may fluctuate every 2 weeks.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Camp Director(s), the Junior Camp Counselor will act in a support role to the Senior Camp
Counselors, assisting with the planning, organization and implementation of camp activities. The Junior Camp Counselor
will work with the Senior Camp Counselor supervising, monitoring, and participating in all activities including field trips,
arts and crafts, sports and games. While doing so, counselors are expected to serve as an appropriate role model for the
children under their care.
Major Responsibilities:
Participate in team trainings and meetings
Follow all camp standards as outlined in the Team Member Handbook
Assist the Senior Counselors in the guidance of individual campers and groups in participating in all camp
activities
Assist in the supervision of all aspects of the campers’ day
Assist teaching or leading activities as assigned
Maintain good public relations with camper parents/guardians
Set a good example for campers and others including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing clean-up responsibilities,
and good sportsmanship.
Other reasonable duties may be assigned as required by the Camp Director(s) or Senior Counselors.
Qualifications:
Education or Experience: High School diploma received or in progress required. Previous experience working with
children in a structured environment of some capacity desired.
Other qualifications or skills:
Must be 16 years of age or older
Desire and ability to work with children outdoors
Ability to relate with one’s peer group
Ability to accept supervision and guidance
Ability to assist in teaching activities
Good integrity, character, attitude and adaptability
Enthusiasm, sense of humor patience and self-control
CPR/First Aid Certification (provided during Counselor Training)
Must be able to work the entire summer. Must disclose during the interview process if a vacation has been
planned.
