Realise that it’s not you - it’s your metabolism.
Fact: some people are genetically more predisposed to gain weight. But there is a solution. Even if you’ve
tried and failed to lose weight in the past, you can achieve weight loss success by managing and correcting

There’s no such thing as a quick fix
Most other weight loss plans tend to be based around eating less, rather than eating properly, or focusing on
how to cheat rather than educating about the correct foods and quantities to eat. This only reinforces bad
eating habits like bingeing. Likewise, crash diets and quick-fix solutions like diet pills can damage your body,
making your metabolism less efficient - which can lead to rebound weight gain.
"If a person is struggling with their weight, not feeling good about themselves and feeling overwhelmed, the
promise of quick-fix weight loss can be very compelling," says Cynthia Sass, a registered dietician and author
in New York City. "I've had clients buy products they know seem bogus because they think, 'What do I have
to lose' or 'Who knows, maybe it'll work.'"
We can’t emphasise it enough: quick fixes don’t work long term, no matter how attractive they seem. What
