Doodle your own pigeons
in Trafalgar Square.
Trafalgar Square is one of London’s most famous landmarks.
It was named after the victory of the British Navy in 1805
at the Battle of Trafalgar. Nelson’s Column, at the centre of
the square, supports a statue of Horatio Nelson, the British
commander who died in the battle. It is guarded by four lions
made out of bronze from the cannon of old warships.
There were once more than 30,000 pigeons in Trafalgar Square, but there
are far fewer now because people aren’t allowed to feed them anymore.
