Important Notes:
1.
* This chart contains two different acetaminophen infant formulations.
The “Infants’ acetaminophen Concentrated Drops” are being replaced by “Infants’ acetaminophen Oral Suspension”
which is less concentrated. But the concentrated version may still be available over the next year or so, so we have
included both versions here in this chart.
2.
Ask your health care provider or pharmacist which formulation is best for your child.
3.
Give dose based on your child’s weight. Do not give more medication than recommended.
4.
If you have questions about dosing or any other concern, call your health care provider.
5.
Always use a proper measuring device. For example:
a.
When giving Infant Concentrated Drops, or Infant Oral Suspension, use only the dosing device
(dropper or syringe) enclosed in the package.
b.
With the old Infant Concentrated Drops, most brands use a dropper with 0.4 and 0.8 ml marked, but some droppers
may be different.
c.
When giving Children’s Suspension or Liquid, use the dosage cup enclosed in the package.
(kitchen spoons are not accurate measures)
