SI PUNCTUATION RULES
Rule #1:
Leave a space between the numerical value and the symbol. (3 g not 3g)
Rule #2:
There are no plural measurement symbols. (kg not kgs)
Rule #3:
There are no periods written after units. (kg not kg.)
Rule #4:
A space is used instead of a comma when writing large numbers. (1 000 kg not
1,000 kg)
Rule #5:
A zero is used before a value less than 1. (0.6 kg not .6 kg)
