ROCKFORD SKEET AND TRAP CLUB MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURE
1. Complete the application. (The form may be downloaded from the website
or obtained at the club.)
2. Complete and return the form and $175 to the membership chairman
indicated on the application form. ($125 is your first year’s dues; $50 is the
initiation fee.)
3. The membership chairman will review the application for completeness.
4. If the application is complete, the membership chairman will prepare a
“TEMPORARY” membership badge and at his/her option mails it to the
applicant or places it on the club bulletin board and so notifies the applicant.
This Temporary Badge must be worn at all times when at the club.
The membership chairman will place a temporary sheet in the “Rounds
Fired” book. During the acceptance period the applicant may shoot at the
club with other members logging his/her rounds as fired.
5. To qualify for final acceptance the applicant must obtain the signatures of
Safety Officers(SO) or Board Members as explained below:
a. Seek out a Safety Officer (SO) and arrange to go through the safety
indoctrination course and shoot at least one round with the SO. On
completion the SO will sign the applicant’s temporary badge. A SO’s
signature MUST be the first signature on the card.
b. The applicant must then obtain three additional signatures from other
SO’s or Board Members by shooting a round with each of them. Only
two signatures can be obtained on any given day.
c. A Board Member or SO may sign more than once.
6. Upon completing the above requirements, the filled card should be returned
to the membership chairman.
7. The membership chairman shall review the card and issue a permanent
name badge and club key to the new member. This badge must be worn any
time the member is on club property.
8. SHOULD the applicant be rejected for membership, his/her money shall be
returned along with an explanation for the rejection except that a rejected
candidate is still expected to pay for any rounds fired.
