CROCHET
The “Honeycomb of Love” alternates the Tunisian simple stitch (tss) and the Tunisian purl stitch
(tps) across each forward pass and return creating a very flat and dainty pattern. All Tunisian
crochet is worked on the front side only and works with multiple loops on a Tunisian crochet
hook. No turning is involved. Although Tunisian Crochet historically has held many names it
holds the title Tunisian Crochet or is equally called Afghan Crochet. It is said to have come into
popularity during the Victorian Era. Today, Tunisian Crochet is gaining more popularity and is
being accepted as another great form of crochet.

KNIT
Our second installment of blocks bends the knitty laws of physics when we turn a lovely dou-
ble-sided chevron into a straight line. Simple knits and purls illustrate how rearranging the
stitches irons the jagged edges to become a smooth line. Nothing really changes as we grow the
fabric vertically., with the exception of transitions. The row height of each repeat is essentially
the same. Some things, though are very different. Most notable is the way a chevron stitch pat-
tern is flat, while the straight lines force the fabric into springy welts. We’ll be able to compen-
sate for the harmonica effect formed by welts at upper end of the square with blocking.
