Please accept the attached curriculum vita as an application for one of the clinical instructor

positions advertised in the most recent edition of The Florida Nurse. I believe that I am well

qualified for this position in that I have been practicing as a registered nurse in pediatrics for 4

years and I am certified as a neonatal critical care nurse by the American Association of Critical

Care Nurses. I have also had the opportunity to act as a preceptor for several of your

undergraduate students in the neonatal intensive care unit and have found this experience to be

both challenging and rewarding.

I would appreciate an opportunity to interview for one of the clinical instructor positions. I

understand that Central Florida University’s School of Nursing NCLEX-RN pass rate is

consistently over 95%. In addition, I have had the opportunity to work with many of your

graduates as new registered nurses and have found them to be well prepared and clinically

competent. This is the type of nursing program that I would like to be a part of as clinical

instructor.
