legume - a family of plants which, convert nitrogen from the air to build up nitrogen in the
soil.
livestock -
animals kept or raised for use or pleasure, especially farm animals kept for use
and profit
mineral – a solid chemical element or compound that occurs naturally in the form of
crystals and results from processes not involving living or once-living matter
nutrition – the processes by which an animal or plant takes in and makes use of food
substances
premium – a reward presented at a fair that includes a monetary value
protein – any of numerous substances that consist of chains of amino acids, contain the
elements carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and often sulfur, include many compounds
(as enzymes and hormones) essential for life, and are supplied by various foods (as meat,
milk, eggs, nuts and beans)
ration – a food allowance for one day
stalks – a slender upright object or supporting or connecting part,
the main stem of an herbaceous plant often with its dependent parts
straw - stalks of grain after threshing often used for bedding.
scythe - an implement consisting of a long, curved, single-edged blade, with a long, bent
handle, used for mowing and or reaping.
vitamin – any of various substances that are necessary in very small amounts to the
nutrition of most animals and some plants
