Vintage Uniform Loan Request

GSCSA has vintage uniforms that may be borrowed for educational or promotional purposes. Museum

volunteers who work only one day a week fill the loan requests. If you will be picking up uniforms at the

Knoxville office, please request uniforms at least three weeks before you need them. If you would like to

pick up uniforms at the Chattanooga or Johnson City office, please allow four weeks.

The person assuming responsibility for the uniforms must be a registered Girl Scout adult. A $10 deposit

fee per uniform is required when the uniforms are picked up. When you pick up the uniforms and pay your

deposit, you will be asked to check what you are receiving against uniforms listed on a loan agreement,

and sign for them. If uniforms are returned in good condition with no missing parts, your deposit check will

be returned to you. Checks are returned by mail after museum volunteers examine the returned uniforms.

We do not have all uniform styles available in all sizes, but we will do our best to fill your request. Please

provide a telephone number where you can be reached during the day so a museum volunteer can call

you to discuss any problems that may arise in trying to match available uniforms to your girls.

Because standard clothing sizes have changed over the years, we are not able to loan uniforms based on

dress size alone. Please provide the waist measurement of person who wants to wear a vintage uniform,

plus the dress size, as well as other information we might need to know for anyone who could be difficult

to fit.
