OFFICIAL VISIT REQUEST FORM
Compliance Office
Official Visit requests must be submitted four working days prior to the scheduled visit to allow the
Compliance Office and the Admissions Office time to process form, verify academic credentials, and send
the prospect written notification of the five-visit limit.
Prospects must provide the following materials prior to ALL OFFICIAL VISITS (Bylaw 13.6.2.2.2.1):
1. A score from PSAT, SAT, PLAN or ACT examination taken on a national testing date under national testing
conditions, except that a state-administered ACT exam may be used. The score must be presented through
a testing agency’s document ,on a high school (or college) academic transcript (official or unofficial) or
through the use of the applicable testing agency’s automated-voice system.
2. A high school or college academic transcript. Printed schedules from the institution’s website are
permitted.

NCAA Bylaw 13.02.4.4 It is not permissible to allow official or unofficial visits by any prospect to Marshall
University during any dead period.
NCAA Bylaw 13.6.2.2.1 A prospect may not be provided an expense-paid visit until the opening day of classes
of their senior year in high school.
NCAA Bylaw 13.6.2.3.1 A prospect who is a non-qualifier and who is enrolled in the first year of a two-year
college may not be provided an official visit until he/she has completed an academic year at the two-
year college.
NCAA Bylaw 13.6.2.6 The following sports are only permitted to provide a limited number of official visits
each academic year: Football-56; Men’s Basketball-12; Women’s Basketball-12; and Baseball-25.
**Remember to submit an OFFICIAL VISIT EXPENSE FORM to the Compliance Office following the
visit.
