and giving back and supporting our neighbors. The YMCA believes that every person should have an oppor-
tunity to participate and pursue their own personal goals regardless of skill or financial level.
Important note regarding the process:
Because scholarships are awarded AFTER day camp registration begins, we reserve a number of spaces in
every camp for scholarship campers. Due to this, once scholarships are awarded, it is first-come, first-serve
in accepting the scholarships. The reserved spaces for scholarship campers WILL fill-up quickly! If a camp
has filled its scholarship spaces, funds that you were awarded for that camp may be transferred to a different
camp of interest.
How much will the scholarship cover?
Depending on provided income documentation and household situations, families may be awarded anywhere
from a 10% to 80% discount for camp programs. No program may be discounted by more than 80%.
How many weeks of camp can I apply for?
In order to make sure our funding can reach as many families as possible, we ask that you please limit each
request to no more than five full weeks of camp per child. We use a credit” system for selecting day camps.
You are awarded five credits per child and each full week of camp will cost one credit, while half day camps
will cost 0.5 credits. Please note that the use of credits does not constitute payment towards a session of
camp. Credits contain no monetary value, and additional payment will be expected after scholar-
ships have been awarded.

Can I apply for more than one child?
Yes! Please submit one application (front and back) per child. One copy of acceptable income documentation
is suitable for multiple campers in the same family. For examples of acceptable income documentation,
please see box #4 on the general information page of the application.
What are the Day Camp Scholarship deadlines?
Scholarship Applications Due: March 15th, 2017
Acceptance Notifications Sent: Week of March 27th, 2017
Scholarship Award Acceptance: March 27th—April 14th, 2017
Day Camp Registration: February 10th, 2017
Payment due: Three weeks before the session of camp begins.
When/how will I be notified about my scholarship?
If your application is turned in by our March 15th deadline, you should hear back regarding the status of
scholarship the week of March 27th. All scholarship details will be sent via email.
My application has been approved. Now what?
Once you have been accepted for the scholarship, you will be required to pay a $10 non-refundable deposit
per each session of camp selected. Parents will also need to accept the scholarship award at the front desk of
the YMCA, once available, between March 27th—April 14th.
