PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS
All groups and persons using the parks or recreational facilities shall abide by all City Ordinances and the following Rules
and Regulations.
PARK HOURS are 4:30 A.M. – 11:00 P.M.
Groups and persons using park and recreational facilities shall dispose of all litter properly, and leave areas in the manner
which they found them.
PROHIBITED
Use or possession of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances
Smoking, Vaping, or E-Cigarettes inside any Building or Structures
Smoking, Vaping, or E-Cigarettes within 25 feet of all structures, playgrounds, gathering or events
Open fires, except in designated grills
Animals running at large (all pets must be on a leash) (Except for at the Overland Trail Recreation Area does not
have a least law) Owners must clean up after their animals
Littering
Golfing
Firearms or archery, except by permit
Horseback riding
Motor vehicles off designated roadways
Commercial activity, except by permit
Dumping of residential trash in park dumpsters
Camping or overnight parking except by permit
Skate boards, rollerblades or bicycles on tennis courts, basketball courts, pavilions
Stakes or posts driven into the ground, or nails, staples or anything “permanent” put onto the Pavilion itself.
Bouncy houses, or other temporary shade structures,
Throwing rocks or other items into the streams/damming up streams
ALL POSTED PARK RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS PER SECTION 13-6 OF THE CITY CODE
By acceptance and use of this permit the signee and the group he or she represents agrees to abide by all City
Ordinances and Facility Rules and Regulations. The signee also agrees to hold harmless the City of Sterling for
any liability the City may incur as a result of the permitted activity specified herein.
