SECTION 2: DEFERMENT REQUEST

Before answering any questions, carefully read the entire form, including the instructions and other information in Sections 4, 5, and 6.

 I meet the qualifications for active duty in the ARMED FORCES of the United States. To qualify, I must: (1) be on active duty in the Army, Navy, Air Force,

Marine Corps or Coast Guard, and (2) provide my loan holder with copies of my military identification and orders or have my commanding or personnel

officer certify Section 4 on the front of this form. Note: Borrowers enlisted in a reserve component of the Armed Forces or the National Guard (while on

active duty status in the Army or Air Force Reserves) may qualify for this deferment only if: (1) serving full-time for a period expected to last at least one

year, or (2) serving under an order for national mobilization.

SECTION 3: BORROWER UNDERSTANDINGS AND CERTIFICATIONS

 I certify that: I am willing to repay my educational loan; however, I am temporarily unable to make payments at this time. I agree to the terms of this

deferment and agree to repay my loan upon the expiration of this deferment in accordance with the terms of my promissory note. I understand I am not

required to make payments during my deferment and interest will not be charged on my TILP loan(s) during this period. . I also understand that any

outstanding interest accrued before the deferment starts will be capitalized (added to the principal balance) when the deferment ends and that I can

prevent capitalization by paying the accrued interest before the deferment period ends.

 I certify that: The information I provided in Section 1 above is true and correct and that I have read, understand, and meet the eligibility criteria

and terms and conditions of the deferment for which I have applied, as explained in Section 6.

 I authorize the entity to which I submit this request (i.e., the school, the lender, the guaranty agency, the U.S. Department of Education, and their

respective agents and contractors) to contact me regarding my request or my loan(s), including repayment of my loan(s), at the number that I provide on

this form or any future number that I provide for my cellular telephone or other wireless device using automated telephone dialing equipment or artificial or

prerecorded voice or text messages.
