Education Act (IDEA) and Bulletin 1706: Regulations for the Implementation of the Children with Exceptionalities Act,
Subparts A and B. These procedural safeguards are found in Louisiana’s Educational Rights of Children with Exceptionalities
in Public Schools or in Louisiana’s Educational Rights of Gifted and Talented Children in Public Schools. You should have
received a copy of the appropriate handbook, but you may request an additional copy from your child’s teacher.
