Your free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information and required documentation must be received in
order to process all types of aid for the award year.
All students must be aware of the Financial Aid deadline dates. The dates are posted on our website,

I have declared my current degree program, under the correct catalog year, that I am pursuing at Joliet Junior College.
I understand that not all classes, majors, or certificates are eligible for financial aid, including student loans. Please
refer to our website for a list of ineligible programs.
If I am unsure of my degree program at JJC, I will contact JJC’s Counseling Office at Main Campus, Room A-1155,
phone (815) 280-2673 or at Romeoville Campus phone (815) 886-3000, or JJC’s Career Services Office Main
Campus, Room A-1175, phone (815) 280-2756.
According to the Department of Education Federal Student Aid regulations, I must be enrolled as a regular student in
an eligible program to receive FSA funds. A regular student is someone who is enrolled or accepted for enrollment in
an eligible institution for the purpose of obtaining a degree or certificate offered by the school (Joliet Junior College).
I understand that only classes applying to my degree program will be used in calculating my financial aid
eligibility. If I am unsure of which classes I need to take for my program, I will meet with a JJC Counselor or
Academic Advisor, or utilize “My Degree Progress” on my eResources account.
I must reapply for financial aid each school year and I cannot receive financial aid from two schools during the same
semester.
I understand that based on Federal law I am allowed six years of Pell grant eligibility. I may view how much Pell

The Financial Aid/Veterans Office utilizes JJC eResources and JJC student e-mail accounts to request missing
financial aid information, provide award eligibility, and additional correspondences.
My Financial Aid Advisor may request additional documentation at any time, even after I am initially awarded. Once
documentation is submitted to the Financial Aid/Veterans office, it cannot be returned to me and/or my parents (if
applicable). Personal copies must be made in advance. The Financial Aid/Veterans Office does not provide copy
service. This documentation becomes part of the permanent file in consideration of Federal Student Aid awards.
