Behavior Management
Daily “Behavior” Cards:
Each student has a behavior card pouch on a chart within my class. Each pouch includes 1 green
card, 1 yellow card, 1 red card, and 1 black. At the beginning of every day all students cards start on
green. If they have to be warned about their behavior or if they are breaking rules the card will be
changed. If student continues to be disruptive after multiple warnings the card will change to red
and/or black and parent will be notified that day or before returning to school the next morning. The
card may also change directly to red/ and or black if student has severe behavior such as stealing,
cheating on a test, fighting, or is caught using bad language. **** SPECIAL PURPLE CARDS****
Students that go above and beyond as leaders in my classroom will be awarded purple cards. Those
that receive purple cards will be allowed to pick a prize from our class treasure box.
Purple = (Superior) Excellent Leader:
Prize from class treasure box + stamp on chart
Green = (Excellent) Ready to Learn:
Stamp on class chart
Yellow = (Unsatisfactory) Slow Down
No Chocolate milk or Recess
Red
= (Unsatisfactory) Parent Alert
Phone call home and/or conference with parent
Black = (Parent/Teacher Conference)
In School Detention / Visit To Office***
Office Hours: I want to thank you for your time and I appreciate the work you do at home with your
child. I am excited to work with you and help answer any questions you might have this school year.
Please feel free to stop by during my office hours either before school between the hours of 8:00a.m-
8:45am or after dismissal 4:00p.m-4:45pm or email me at

Please make sure to check your child’s daily behavior chart each day. Make sure to ask your
child how their behavior was at school and what they might need to improve.
