Dolch Words

Use the included list to review sight words for your child. This is a complete list of Dolch

sight words in the order that students often acquire them. You may use these words for

both reading and spelling practice. Continue with the words until your child has

mastered them.

Remember! You can work with these words in many different ways!

Try:

• using magnetic letters

• writing them in flour

• singing, chanting or rapping the words

Math

Not all math has to be done using a paper and pencil. Try this:

• Count in the car (How many cars passed by? How long did you wait at the red

light?)

• Use counters such as raisins, smarties or macaroni to help with adding, subtracting

and skip counting

• Count during the commercials of your favourite TV show

• Count the items in your grocery cart
