Basic Instructions

To see how to apply the markings to the diamond template, please refer to the video. The actual

lines have already been made for you in every size diamond cutting template, except the 1”

finished DIT because it’s too small for this technique.

Locate the size of the diamond template needed and then cut the strips in the sizes provided. Sew

the strips lengthwise and press the seam open.

Place the template over the strip set so that the interior line is placed directly over the strip set

seam. Right-handed quilters please start from the right side of the strip set and lefties start on the

left side. Cut out the diamond shapes and then make DIT units. Refer to the video for adding the

side triangles and joining the DIT units together into half-hexagons.
