Align content and campaigns
with your customer journey
A powerful way of organizing your campaigns is by audience. “Audience”
means both the personas you’re targeting (your core consumer segments) as
well as what stage of the buyer journey those personas are.
Persona:
Every campaign needs a target audience made up of customer personas, defined
in terms of attributes, demographics, values, and challenges. Map out who you
need to reach and what you know about their journey to buy your product. Then
make sure you encode these personas into your calendar so you can view all
ongoing campaigns by persona.
Consumer Journey:
Before embarking on your campaign, decide what part of the buyer journey you’re
hoping to make an impact. Is your marketing campaign intended to increase
brand awareness, generate qualified leads, or drive shoppers to buy from your e-
commerce site?
