A single registration form will be sufficient for each individual who wishes to register as a
stakeholder.
Section 1
: Stakeholder Registration
This section seeks information from an individual or a company or firm or an organization or
an institute or a branch or division within the company or organization. The database allows the
recording a range of information including contact phone numbers, e-mail, fax and mailing
address. It is advisable to communicate e-mail wherever possible to receive information from
Plant Quarantine Organisation of India (PQOI) in electronic format where this facility not
available the information will be sent through post.
Section 2
: Stakeholder Categorisation
This section contains a request to identify the specific category of stakeholder in order to
target the relevant information.
Section 3
: Stakeholder Participation/Expertise
Routine Import Risk Analysis (IRA) is one of the key aspects of Quarantine policy. It is
subject to change or revision in consultation with the scientists and experts both inside and
outside PQOI. More complex analyses (Non routine risk analyses) will involve appointment of
an expert committee on risk analysis to consider the issues. The information will enable the
expert committee to facilitate consultation with scientists and other experts as appropriate. The
Section also seeks to identify stakeholders who are experts in a field relating to a particular
commodity IRA under consideration and who would like to apply their expertise in the IRA
process.
Section 4
: Commodity interests
This information will be used to identify Stakeholders who made the request to PQOI to keep
them informed of the progress of a quarantine risk assessment process for specific commodities.
For this purpose the stakeholders can identify commodity (ies) either specifically or by group
generally. Please tick appropriately the commodity (ies) that you are interested in receiving PQ
information. Please note that occasionally the stakeholder register will be used to send general
information on PQ issues that may not specifically meet your nominated commodity interest.
Section 5
: Source Country
Please indicate whether your interest to source your nominated commodity from any
specified country. This will enable us to target the risk.
