Compliance
Our company ensures that all project managers, site managers and foremen read the Implementation
Guidelines to the Queensland Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (Guidelines) and
understand their obligations on site and that these behaviours will be monitored.
Our company signs the Compliance Schedule that is provided by the Head Contractor with the tender
request and our project team for any particular site is aware of their compliance obligations. When
tendering for Queensland Government work our company commits itself to the principles of the Guidelines.
Our company can demonstrate a track record of compliance, the ability to manage grievances and
disciplinary matters and administrative capability (payroll etc).
Freedom of Association
Our company adopts policies that promote freedom of association.
Our company does not unlawfully encourage or discourage employees to join a union.
Our company does not refuse to employ or terminate employees because of their union status.
Our company does not use forms requiring employees to identify their union status.
Grievance Management
Our company takes all reasonable steps to resolve grievances or disputes at the earliest opportunity in
accordance with the procedures outlined in the relevant industrial instrument or other workplace
arrangement.
Our company reports grievances and disputes to the head contractor.
Right of Entry
Our company ensures there is strict compliance with legislative provisions relating to right of entry.
Our company reports all requests to attend the site to the head contractor.
Unlawful industrial action
Our company does not pay strike pay
Our company properly records the details and circumstances surrounding unlawful action.
Our company agrees to take all requisite steps to stop any unlawful action and to ensure that any damages
or penalties are appropriately pursed.
Our company reports industrial relations issues and industrial action to the head contractor.
