I’M A GORILLA

I’m a gorilla. (squat down, knees bent, knuckles touching the floor)

I’m a great big ape.

I sit like this,

But I can stand up straight. (stand up)

When I’m happy,

I jump up and down. (jump)

But when I’m mad,

I have a scary frown. (make a scowly face)

If you scare me, (point to self)

Here’s what I’ll do— (shake finger)

I’ll beat my chest, (beat chest with fists)

And try to scare you.

(point to someone else)

BANANAS FOR LUNCH

A cute little monkeys had bananas for lunch.

He peeled one and ate one, munch, munch, munch. (peeling motions)

1 banana, 2 bananas, 3 bananas, 4. (hold up fingers, 1 at a time)

He ate and he ate, but he wanted more.

He peeled and he ate, and he peeled and ate, (peeling motions)

5 bananas, 6 bananas, 7 bananas, 8. (hold up fingers, 1 at a time)

He peeled two more and continued to munch. (peeling motions)

And before he knew it, he ate the whole bunch!
