During the journey back to Longbourn, Elizabeth told the Gardiners all about Mr Wickham. She
explained about what had happened between Mr Wickham and Miss Darcy the year before. As
soon as they arrived at Longbourn, Jane ran out to meet them. She said that a letter had come
from Mr Bennet the day before. Mr Gardiner left for London because he wanted to help Mr
Bennet as soon as possible. Mr Bennet arrived home the day after. Nobody could find Lydia and
Wickham. A few weeks later the newly-married Mr and Mrs Wickham visited Longbourn.
