EQUIREMENTS AND

NSTRUCTIONS

1. Attach a copy of the vehicle’s current registration receipt listing the owner & lien holder.

6. Authorized agent of refinancing lien holder must sign and handprint their name, title of

position with lien holder and the date the certificate was signed.

2. Signature(s) of the owner(s) must match the name(s) on the face of the current Kansas

title record. (The registration receipt will also show the name(s).

7. Copy of the security agreement is NOT required.

3. Record the name and address of the current secured party/lien holder.

8. If a legal document or power of attorney is used, please attach it to the application.

4. Record the name and address of the refinancing party/lien holder.

9. Missing signatures and/or incomplete information VOIDS this

application.

5. Current mileage is required.

10. If the current lien holder listed above fails to comply with the lien release requirements of KSA 8-1,157, the refinancing lien holder may file a complaint. If a complaint is not filed or a

lien release is not received within 30 days, the application will be rendered incomplete, as certified above, and the registration cannot be renewed.
