2INFORMATION ON HOW TO CHANGE A PROBATION ORDER
1. Obtain an application form from the Provincial Court Office, 408 York Avenue or from your Probation Officer;
2. Complete Part I and II of the application form – remember to include all contact information and details of the Order;
3. Give the form to your Probation Officer to complete Part III. Your Probation Officer will then forward the application
to the Crown to complete Part IV. If the Crown is not opposed to the change, the application will be forwarded to the
Court Officer for the Judge’s consideration. If the Judge approves the change, you will be notified in writing;
4. You must attend the Court Office to sign the new Order before the change will take effect;
5. If the Crown is opposed to the change or if the Judge will not approve the change without a court hearing, you will
be notified in writing. You will be provided with information explaining how a hearing can be arranged, should you
wish to continue with your application.
