ACTIVITY SHEET
Predict
If you pour water down the slope of the board, at which slope
will the water probably run fastest?
If there is sand on the board, at which slope will the most
erosion happen?
Experiment
Cover the board with dry sand. Make the sand 1 centimeter deep.
Raise one end of the board to the height for the first slope. Time
how long it takes one cup of water to flow down the slope. Use
fresh, dry sand and a full cup for each slope in the chart.
